The deadline to submit a Spring 2022 Academic Dismissal Appeal is 3:00 p.m. on June 13, 2022. Late dismissal appeals will not be accepted. Students who submit dismissal appeals before this deadline will be notified of the Dismissal Appeal Board's decision via their Buffalo State email account by the end of the day on June 17, 2022. In a limited number of situations, when the Dismissal Appeals Board rejects a student's appeal, the student may appeal that decision to the Provost. Spring 2022 Provost-level dismissal appeals must be submitted before 3:00 p.m. on June 23, 2022. Students who submit Provost-level appeals before this deadline will be notified of the decision of this appeal before noon on June 27, 2022.
Graduate students should refer to the Graduate Catalog or contact The Graduate School to learn more about academic dismissal and dismissal appeals at the graduate level.

Dismissed students can make an appointment to speak with their academic Dean's Office to plan for their academic future. Contact information can be found in the next column.
Academic Dismissal Appeals must include clear and concise background information that describes the extenuating circumstance that negatively impacted academic performance and documentation of that extenuating circumstance from an official source. Students must use their Buffalo State network username and password to access this process.
Dismissed students may apply for readmission to Buffalo State after one year away from the college. The Admissions Office can provide information about the undergraduate readmission process. Note that all holds on account at Buffalo State must be resolved prior to readmission applications being considered and transfer credits do not impact Buffalo State grade point averages.
