Course grades and the number of credits you complete in a semester are very important factors in your ability to receive financial aid.
Failure to make satisfactory academic progress can impact your aid in a number of ways. If you are planning on withdrawing from a course(s) or taking a leave from college, please seek guidance from our office, the Student Accounts Office, and/or the Financial Aid Office before you withdraw.
Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) is the process used to determine if a student is making acceptable progress toward a degree or certificate. The federal government and New York State government each measure SAP differently.
