Non-Matriculated Student Advisement

Non-matriculated students are able to take college courses for credit without working toward a degree. Students may enroll in up to 11 credit hours of coursework each semester on a space-available basis. Students who have been academically dismissed from any institution must wait one full year from the time of dismissal before enrolling under non-matriculated status.  Non-matriculated students are not eligible for financial aid.

Academic advisement for non-matriculated undergraduates is provided upon request by scheduling an appointment with wrightjz@buffalostate.edu. Non-matriculated graduate students should consult with The Graduate School for academic advising.

Please Note

Non-Matriculated students do not sign up for orientation

An immunization HOLD is placed on all student accounts until the Weigel Health Center receives your immunizations (shot record), MMR(Meningitis), and COVID vaccine. The Banner registration is locked as the Weigel HOLD prevents all registration.
